Transition-Plus Meetings

Transition-Plus meeting facilitators have completed "Bring Everyone In The Zone" Facilitator training In addition, one or more Licensed Mental Health Professionals who are also veterans typically participate The following meetings are all held at the same time.  The group meetings are confidential and not affiliated with the VA or other Federal, State or Local government agencies.
Peer-To-Peer
  • This meeting group is for Veterans and Service members. It is to help each other transition between military and civilian cultures.
  • Some of us may be dealing with and recovering from traumatic experiences in our lives which not only affects us, but also our family members.
  • We help each other with transition and recovery by sharing our experiences, strength, and hope in a safe environment.
  • Meetings are open to all military veterans or service members of any conflict or era.  Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to join us.
Support Group
  • This meeting group is for Spouses and Family members. It is to help each other deal with someone transitioning between the military and civilian cultures.
  • Some of us may have veteran spouses or other family members who are dealing with and recovering from traumatic experiences.
  • This recovery can not only be difficult for the veteran, but can also be very difficult for others in the family.
  • The meetings are open to spouses or adult family members of all military veterans or service members of any conflict or era.
Resource Group
  • The Resource Group meeting is held to manage the operations of Transition-Plus.  These volunteers are called Transition Aides. 
  • They serve veterans, service members or their families by working with them to access benefits and resources.
  • Transition Aides make connections with veteran service officers, veteran service organizations and other resources.
  • They also maintain resources on-line to make connections with the many Federal, State and Local resources which can be useful. 
  • Transition Aides  can make connections to other ministries at Bay Harbour such as the Stephen Ministry, Safe Harbour and others.
